Ben is running to raise awareness and funds for the National Deaf Children’s Society, a charity that works to break down the barriers faced by deaf children and their families across the UK. With the right support, deaf children can thrive -but too many still face challenges in school, social life, and everyday situations. Ben’s fundraising will help ensure more families get the help they need.
Despite only getting his place in January, Ben has shown serious commitment to the challenge - training through past rugby and football injuries, building up his distance, and recently completing a 20-mile run in preparation.
He shared:
“To only be accepted in late January, the training has been tough, all the old rugby and football injuries have come back, but I’ve carried on. I built myself up to 20 miles few weeks back. Now it’s just to stay focussed with small runs, and to keep injury free with less than 2 weeks to go. I am feeling a world record coming on!”
Ben’s drive and determination are exactly what make him such a valued part of the MPS team, and we’re proud to support him as he takes on this huge personal challenge for an excellent cause.
If you’d like to support Ben and the National Deaf Children’s Society, donations are open via his fundraising page here.
Good luck Ben - the whole MPS team is behind you!
